ABOUT US

Joan Rosenstein,MFA

Joan, our administrator and printing specialist, provides a trained, artistic perspective to our restoration work.  She has a B.S. in art from Skidmore College and an M.F.A. in painting from the University of Michigan. She served as acting head of the Walker Art Center Educational Department and is a Professor Emerita from the Art Department at Montgomery College. In 1983 she switched from painting and print making to fine art photography, devoting several years of study under major contemporary photographers. Her art has been exhibited in fifteen solo exhibitions and more than 165 group shows.  And, with her years of teaching and gallery experience, she often provides expert advice on photo frames and framing.

Kenneth Roberts,MS

Ken is our photo restoration specialist.  With B.S. and M.S. degrees in fishery biology, his prior career spanned 34 years in the field of fish habitat conservation with Ohio’s Division of Wildlife, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and NOAA.  Approaching retirement as a senior manager in NOAA’s Office of Endangered Species, he turned to his lifelong interest in photography, pursuing studies in photo composition, portraiture, architectural photography, darkroom printing, and large format camera techniques.  When the 486 computers opened the door to practical digital photo restoration, he engaged in developing and applying digital photo restoration skills.  In 1992 Joan and Ken decided to combine their talents, and founded R&R Photgraphy.
